Education is vital in promoting the integration of women in the maritime sector. Capacity building includes mentoring, coaching, sponsorships, secondment and networking opportunities.

The support from the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI) for the region and globally is a huge boost for our #WIM network and the #D4WIM.

Elda Kazara-Belja is the Senior Lecturer/Coordinator IMLI Women Lead with the IMO IMLI and is also an IMLI alumni. She is passionate, kind and cares about the work she does and has impacted the lives of those who have come through the doors of IMO IMLI.

We are in awe of women leaders like Elda who are educators, mentors, friends, and who create space for women in maritime to shine and pursue their dreams fiercely and passionately, contributing to a sustainable future.
